Open Plan Kitchen-Dining Room

This month we’ve got something a little bit different that we’ve been itching to upload on the blog. The spacious area that you can see in the photographs was created by knocking through the partition wall that used to separate the dining room from June and John’s kitchen. By utilising this larger area, our designers have created a new open plan space that combines kitchen, dining and living areas in one.

The kitchen is contemporary in design but retains a feeling of warmth from the combination of light rift oak units and Karndean flooring. Units from the Pronorm Classicline range are paired with laminate chocolate dream worktops and splashbacks to complement the neutral tones used throughout. The extensive storage space will make it easy for June and John to keep the kitchen tidy and well ordered and the central gas hob beside the dropdown seating area is perfect for entertaining guests.
Stainless fixtures and fittings (plus a boiling water tap and island canopy extractor) give a modern appearance and the versatile finish looks equally good against wooden units as it does surrounding gloss black appliances. The main appliances in the kitchen are from the Siemens range and these include a single oven, warming drawer, microwave oven, dish washer and gas hob. A Blanco silgranite sink is another stylish addition which is available in a variety of different colours.
We loved seeing this practical, spacious and homely kitchen come together to the end result displayed it in the photos. The approach was bold, a little bit different and finished with a personal touch. To discuss your next kitchen with us, just call in or book your free design visit today!
