A Tired Kitchen Transformed

It’s always satisfying to carry out a true kitchen transformation, and that’s exactly what we did for Alan and Helena. A dated mixture of oak and pine with cream units and un-matched appliances wasn’t doing the room any favours, so we quickly got to work and designed a modern kitchen with a coherent theme.

The couple chose Classicline units with Gloss white doors and laminated worktops from Pronorm’s German kitchen range. The table area was built-in to match the other surfaces, sharing the same dark rift oak finish for a complete look. One of the biggest challenges faced was in making the protruding wall butts part of the kitchen and these were successfully disguised with the careful positioning of units and furniture.
Siemens appliances were fitted throughout, including a single oven, microwave oven and steam oven with two handleless warming drawers. The hob uses flexInduction technology so it’s possible to cook with conventional rings or rectangular surfaces by linking areas together, and a large, 900mm wide extractor will efficiently remove smoke, odours and grease with ease. A Blanco silgranit sink was chosen for its excellent durability and scratch resistance and when paired with a blanco filtra water tap, it looks exceptional too
